Rimmel London Fresher Skin Foundation is the latest to entice us makeup lovers out to the shops. I filled in my details on their Facebook page and was pleasantly surprised when my sample sachet arrived on my doorstep in a wearable shade. I was super organised the other morning and got my camera setup so I could do some before and after photos to give you a feel for how this new addition to the Rimmel London family looks on the skin.
The Rimmel London Fresher Skin Foundation I have is in the shade 100 Ivory, which is a perfect match for my Autumn untanned face. Fresher Skin has been developed to give skin natural looking coverage while allowing the skin to breathe, thus not clogging the pores. The gel style texture blends onto the skin really well. I opted to use my fingers for application, although I would like to see how it blends with a brush. On applying this to the skin you should note, you'll need to work fast; if left blobbed on the skin it will start to dry down. The semi-matte-dewy finish is exactly as I expected and the coverage evened my skintone out; I just needed a little touch-up here and there.
Fresher Skin contains natural mineral powders that helps absorb excess oils and leaves skin shine-free all day. I applied the foundation at 7:30am and my skin looked fresh as a daisy 12 hours later when I took my makeup off! I didn't powder over the Fresher Skin foundation so I expected a little movement around my nose or shining on my T-zone, however I didn't see any of this!
Also I should mention the fragrance. This foundation contains Aloe, Chamomile and Sea Algae Extracts, all beneficial to help reduce redness and even out skintone. What I didn't realise until I opened my packet is you can smell them in the formula. It's really a lovely fragrance and makes using the Fresher Skin foundation even more enjoyable.
BEFORE - Bare faced at 7:30am
AFTER - Rimmel London Fresher Skin Foundation in 001 Ivory
MAKEUP COMPLETE - Concealer, Bronzer, Blush, Brows, Mascara, Lip pencil.
Overall I'm very happy with the Fresher Skin foundation and will certainly be picking up one from my local Boots. It's rare to find a foundation that gives such a light finish yet is reliable enough to last you all day without touch ups. For me this foundation is a match made in heaven. Have you tried Rimmel London Fresher Skin Foundation yet? x
Looks very natural, I like that.
