Paul & Joe Smudgeproof Mascara is the latest to join my beauty stash, and it's been a refreshing change having a different colour than black. This mascara is in 02 Brun, which when worn is a soft brown so is lovely for a minimal makeup look. Paul & Joe defines lashes for a gorgeous effect; they say it emphasises volume however I don't really see that on my lashes. The mascara wand is what I would describe as classic (not one of those rubbery types) and its shape means it coats every lash from root to tip. The highly pigmented mascara, leaving lashes looking beautifully defined and well just gorgeous!
Paul & Joe really is smudge proof too. I can honestly say after applying the mascara at 7:30am and not taking it off until late in the evening it didn't leave even the slightest dark mark under my eyes. Removal was nice and easy too, I just used my normal cleanser and cleansing cloth so no need to buy fancy makeup removers either.
I'm very happy with this mascara and enjoy wearing it on my minimal makeup days to give me a wide awake fresh look. A little trick I have found is it works perfectly over my YSL False Lash Effect Mascara. The YSL does have a tendency to smudge however it does give me volume and thickness. So I apply a coat of Paul & Joe over the top and it seals everything in place so I have no smudging during the day.
