As a hairdresser the idea of 'brushing' your hair when wet has always gone against the grain. You see, back in the day when I was training we were told to never brush wet hair! We were to use a wide tooth comb to detangle the hair followed by our cutting comb to section and cut the hair. So you can understand why the idea of The Wet Brush baffled me......until now!
The Wet Brush is specifically made to be gentle on the hair, which when wet is in its most delicate form. The brush has been designed to be firm enough to remove tangles and knots with ease, which is all down to the flexible SofTips and cushioned base they sit in. The Softips are exclusive to Wet Brush and are ultra soft poly tips. These have been dipped twice making them super soft and durable. As for the bristles, these have adaptive flexibility so the help protect the hair and are perfect for sensitive scalps (one that us mums will be thankful for), as well as hair extension wearers.
As for the design of the brush, you can't deny this brush isn't eye catching!! I have the Ombré Yellow-Orange which I love. The body of the brush is a rubberised material that is extremely soft in the palm of my hand and it is very grippy. I found it nice and comfortable to work with and this brush has quickly became part of my 'hairdressing kit'. I feel this is also something worth noting, while carrying the brush around in my kit bag the rubberised part of the brush hasn't marked. I thought this would be the one area that would left me down but so far is still looks like new.
Overall impressions on The Wet Brush are positive. It has worked well to detangle my hair as well as my daughters and customers. It has been gentle on the scalp (as promised) and I really can't find any fault with it! Have you tried The Wet Brush? If you what are your thoughts....

I really fancy getting a wet brush, I have always used a wide tooth comb and more recently my tangle teezer but I tend to wait until my hair is almost air dried before brushing to minimise the damage. I will look into this one as looks like it could be just what I have been after!
ReplyDeleteI found your blog through 30plusblogs and wanted to say hi.

It's definitely a pretty brush :-) I'm hooked on my tangle teezer though.
