On Friday I joined the hordes of beauty fanatics throughout the UK and rushed out to my closest newsagent to buy the March issue of ELLE Magazine. Why you ask? Well it only had a pre-launch sample of Benefit Roller Lash Mascara! ELLE and Benefit have teamed together to give us a chance of trying out Roller Lash mascara 4 weeks before it is available in store and online. Here's what Benefit are saying about their latest product-
Curls best friend?
Roller Lash is a revolutionary new super curling and lifting mascara which has been in development for four-years! It’s perfect for those of you with short or straight lashes and who struggle to find that perfect daytime mascara. Want to save the drama of they’re real! for your evening looks? Roller Lash is a #curlsbestfriend for a soft, girly and eye-opening effect.
What makes this mascara so brilliant is the Hook ‘n’ Roll™ brush with custom-designed hooks to help catch, lift and curl the lashes. Paired with a ink-black, lightweight formula to keep the curl for a whopping 12 hours!
I've only been using the Roller Lash mascara a couple of days but I have to say I'm impressed with it. I wouldn't say my lashes are short however they are quite straight. I do normally use my lash curlers to get any sort of bend and lift in them, with this I didn't have feel I had too. The wand is easy to use and not too big. You'll find the wand is based on the old velcro rollers your Gran uses on her hair. It has tiny hooks that grabs every lash and gently lifts them. I found the lift lasted around 10 hours before I then took my makeup off. It could maybe go longer? The formula is a fabulous deep black (Inky Black I believe its being called). I also found it didn't smudge or flake so overall a good result.
Have you bought a copy of ELLE this month? If yes, what do you think of Benefit's new mascara?
