My Favourite Perfumes

Today I thought I’d talk ‘perfume’.
I don’t know where you stand on this subject, but for me I have my special occasion fragrances and my everyday ones.

First up is my special occasion fragrance.
This has to be Chanel Coco Mademoiselle.
My husband first bought this for me when we were dating. I wore it when we married in 2008, during my pregnancy, and the birth of our daughter in 2010. It’s the fragrance I will always go for when we have a special occasion, and yet I also wear it day-to-day sometimes. This fragrance always draws lots of lovely comments. I’ve gotten through several large bottles and always have a spare for when I’m getting low.

Chanel says
This voluptuous, more generous version of the fragrance is surprisingly light and fresh.
A feeling of luxuriance is achieved through two exclusive ingredients that form the signature for all CHANEL parfums: Jasmine Absolute and May Rose Absolute. These delicate flowers bursting with confidence are highlighted by a touch of Iris from Florence.
The very sensual, amber peach shade of the parfum is revealed in the legendary CHANEL faceted bottle. The neck is sealed with a fine membrane, set off by a few rows of white pearl cotton yarn and a black wax stamp.”

Now its the turn of my everyday fragrances. I have a couple that I’m favouring recently.

Left - Ed Hardy Original /Right - Gucci Flora
Flora by Gucci
This perfume always reminds me of Gibraltar, we lived there for a year and I did a lot of duty-free shopping. Flora by Gucci has (and I quote) “crisp top notes of crunchy green accord, mid-notes of rose and osmanthus flower, followed by base notes of sandalwood”. For me it leaves a beautifully fresh airy fragrance on my skin which lasts all day.

Ed Hardy Original
Now this is my fruity number. It was a birthday present from one of my friends and she has fabulous taste in perfume. I tend to keep the mini size in my handbag as I do find the fragrance fades slightly during the day, however it’s still wonderful!
Ed Hardy says “The exciting composition of this fragrance opens with explosive notes of tropical mango, wild strawberries and red grapefruit. The heart introduces mystic black freesia, while the base follows with amber and rose accords.”

So there you are, three of my current favourite perfumes.
Which leaves me with the question…..What is your favourite??

xx
